As the cold weather approaches, the movie theater becomes the perfect experience for a warm and entertaining evening. Although the local theater Hudson Regal Cinema is great, 15 minutes down the road, Macedonia’s new theater takes the movie experience to the next level.
In February 2024, Macedonia closed down the previous Cinemark after being open for 25 years. The main intention for this closing was to renovate the theater into something bigger and better than any theater around has done before. B&B theaters got to work renovating and after a six month long period the renovation was finally finished.
B&B is a theater chain that is the fifth largest chain in North America, with 550 operating theaters across 15 states, this theater being the only one in Ohio. This chain is family owned and operated and has been since 1924. Elmer Bills Sr. opened the first movie house. Since then, four family generations have been involved and helped B&B grow to what it is today.
This theater now contains large heated reclining electric chairs, and if that’s not enough to please movie lovers, It is the world’s first multi projection platform as well. So instead of just one projector at the back of the room there are also projectors on the side walls, truly making the movie feel more realistic and entertaining. It surprisingly does not end there. This theater also has brought a fully running bar where adults can grab a drink prior or during their movie. With the plus of expanded menu options, not only does this truly sound like a parents’ heaven, but it also includes an area for the kids to play and relax in one of the theaters.
Even though all of this alone seems extremely tempting, this theater also upped their menu. B&B theaters have a great selection of food options to choose from. Flatbreads, wraps, wings, chicken sandwiches and burgers are some of the main new editions on the menu compared to Macedonia’s old theater. The side selections hold a variety of options. Including onion rings, sweet potato fries, mozzarella sticks and surprisingly even more!
The main catch with these theaters is the different types of rooms. There are multiple different types of theaters based on every location. Some locations have theaters where the chairs physically move so guests can feel certain parts of action scenes within the movie. B&B is a crazy fun experience, Ohio is truly fortunate to now have one. Lots of thought and imagination went into each and every room. Nevertheless, these theaters are super high-tech and exceeds everybody’s expectations.
The Lyric is the first room Macedonia theater contains. This is a food based room where you can have service brought to your seat. The room has a rustic vibe with wooden floors and brown heated reclining chairs each having built- in table tops where food can sit. This room is at peak comfort, while enjoying one’s favorite food!
Screenplay is the next specific type of room where kids can have the experience of their life! These rooms contain a play gym for 11 years of age and below as well as a toddler area towards the front, with sensory equipment, climbing equipment, and even play tables. These play sessions take place 30 minutes prior to a family friendly movie so that children can get any wiggle they have, all out before the movie starts. Providing a more laid back movie experience for parents.
The third room that this theater has is the Screen X. This room contains a multi projection, 270° viewing experience. making guests feel as if they are inside the most excited scenes of their movies. This theater type makes the movie feel like it is truly a reality that every guest is in.
Max relax is the last type of room that Macedonia’s b&b contains! Max relax are lounge seatings where you can reach your maximum level of comfort. These seats are heated, leather and allows guests to stretch beyond an average theater compactly. with comfortable cushion seating and the large size of these lounge chairs, these are honestly the most perfect chairs for guests who come to be relaxed to the max!
Macedonia’s Cinemark will be missed but this seriously took that building to a whole new level. These theaters seem to be so much fun and such a cool experience, that movie lovers and even non-movie lovers will fall in love and if already, even more, with these theaters. Movies are such a great way for families to bond, friends to bond and people to have a reliable source of entertainment. Any resident in Macedonia or around Macedonia should be so grateful that they now have this luxurious movie theater right down the road.
