Homecoming came early this year and with it came new additions to the court. The tradition at HHS has always just been a senior court, but this year all four classes were represented, along with the senior court, including the king and queen.
In order to have been considered for the court, students had to be nominated by a teacher who recognized their impact on the school. After the initial nomination, the ballot was sent to the student body to vote on their top five choices. Underclassmen also voted for their grade level attendants, who stood on the field and helped in the crowning of the king and queen.

At the pep assembly last Friday, the court assembled on the field to find out who would be crowned king and queen. The girls on this year’s senior homecoming court were Natani Agee, Chloe Bigham, Laine Lewis and Katie Will and its boys were Blake Bakonyi, Louis Castellarin, Crew McDaniel and Sam Schmitt. The crowns were awarded to Libby Thomas and Joey Herman.

Thomas is a dedicated member of the student government as the co-president of its executive board and helps organize school events throughout the year. She runs her own successful cupcake business called Cupcakes By Libby and is heavily involved in her church.
Herman is our senior class vice president and spends his time on stage performing with the drama club, serves as vice president of HHS choir and is the vocal impact dance captain. He’s also president of Fashion Club and is a part of the Leadership Conference Planning Committee.
At the homecoming football game, the court paraded around the track in their traditional Jeep entourage. They were announced in front of the stadium full of attendees to round out the homecoming week.
