The Beginning:
The first season of “Wednesday” was an incredible view into the world of Nevermore. The show followed Wednesday Addams, a character from the beloved movie series “The Addams Family,” who works to solve murder cases and problems in her school. Wednesday is always drawn to the crime scenes, so getting involved is not hard for her.
In season one she finds herself surrounded by victims of hyde attacks (a hyde is a beast like creature that a human can shape shift into if they have the ability). Wednesday works to try and figure out who the hyde is, while utilizing her visions to guide her. The show keeps you wondering who it is, until finally the hyde is unmasked as her current partner, Tyler Galpin. The first season ends in a huge figure between the Nevermore outcasts and the evil among them.
The audience loved the first season, specifically the parts where Wednesday was her goth self. The opening scene of the first season was dark and really set the tone for the show. Wednesday got revenge on the swimmers for hurting her brother by dumping piranhas into the pool.
Later in the season there was a school dance and Wednesday wore a flowy black dress and did a dance that shocked the internet. The dance went viral with millions of people recreating it on TikTok.
By the end of the season we were pleasantly surprised and awaiting a second season. The audience adored the horror aspects and wanted more scares and iconic moments.

Part One:
The first half of part one took Netflix by storm – it quickly took over the number one spot of Most Watched. The first half brought us through Wednesday’s experience with a creepy stalker who almost kills Enid. However, Wednesday gets to the bottom of that fast.
After that, Wednesday moves back to the crime scene and comes across two dead bodies, both killed by ravens. Wednesday pieces down these murders to them being caused by someone who has control over birds. She quickly gets a sense that these murders are being orchestrated by someone at Willow Hill, a mental asylum for deadly outcasts.
At Willow Hill, Wednesday goes to her first suspect, Tyler Galpin, as his father was just recently murdered. Her and Tyler meet, where we get a tense scene between the two of them.
The last episode of the series turned out to be a slasher episode. Many people died due to deadly outcasts getting out of the asylum. In this episode there are a few creepy scenes and people which might be a little frightening for younger kids to watch.
The first half of the series was dark and disturbing, but it definitely kicked off the second season on a strong note. The entirety of this part had a little bit of gore and definitely dark themes, so keeping young children away might be a good idea.
Part Two:
The second part of the show came out about a month later. The second half started out with a return of an old character and the realization that some of the outcasts are still at large. Wednesday goes into a frenzy trying to get her visions back and ends up taking Enid down with her.
The second half brought us back to the past to help Wednesday realize how to save her family, as one of them is suspected to die now. After the gala, where we get another great dance this season, Pugsley, Wednesday’s brother, is captured.
The second half of the show was definitely less dark and we got plenty of good moments of friendship and family. The ending left us off on a cliff hanger and once again Tim Burton has us on the edge of our seats for the third season.
