Hudson is known for its amazing restaurants and food places to choose from. Its newest edition is on the healthier side. Everbowl has been very popular in recent weeks since its long-awaited opening. Similar to other smoothie bowl places, Everbowl sells acai bowls and smoothies. But, Everbowl’s array of flavors to choose from is what grabs customers’ eyes. They sell acai-flavored smoothie bowls in vanilla, cocoa, chia pudding and many more. Everbowl has a creative menu with mixes of flavors, one of these being their “Whatever Bowls” which are customizable. You choose your bases, fruits, superfoods and nut butters. Aside from creating one’s own bowl, their menu has classics such as the “Everbowl” which is your basic acai base with granola, banana, strawberry and blueberry toppings.
With six base flavors to choose from, it’s impossible to know which one to try. Employee Jordyn Mawaka and Junior Lucy Betchel share that their favorite bowl is “Full Moon.” The bases are “cacao wow” and a classic vanilla, creating the perfect substitute for ice cream. The consistency is thick, and the flavors aren’t too fruity. I tried the “Nutty Butty” bowl which included a vanilla base with bananas, strawberries, almonds, almond butter and peanut butter. The toppings were amazing but the base itself was not for me. I personally like a more fruity base, so next time I would replace it for a regular acai flavor. The vanilla base made the bowl feel too sugary and a false advertisement for an “organic…refined sugar-free” smoothie bowl like the Director of Communication with Everbowl, Alex Marchant, claims online. While it tastes good, it should probably be a once in a while treat.
Everbowl’s vanilla base has about 210 calories per serving, aside from additional toppings. The average amount of calories consumed in each meal varies from 500 to 700. Other bases range from 35 to 160 calories. One can get a healthy option and others can choose a more “desert-like” bowl. Either of these are good options for a balanced diet.

Everbowl has the best of both worlds with healthy and sweet treat options as well as flavors, but many customers have complained about the taste. While half of whom I talked about Everbowl’s flavors agreed that it was too sugary, but tasted amazing, the other half said it tasted like “cardboard.” Junior Ali Rosenberg expressed her distaste for it saying “the acai base tastes like cardboard.” Senior Peyton Frank said “Everbowl was fun when it opened, but the first time I went I got the acai as the base and didn’t love the taste of it but the fresh fruit on top was delicious.”
Mixed feelings about Everbowl’s flavors and fruits will continue to last, but one should definitely try it to see for themself.
