Andrew Tate is a bad influence on youth

Andrew Tate publicly shares information that promotes sexism and corruption.

Andrew Tate is a multi-millionaire who got his fame through kickboxing and his extremely controversial opinions that he openly shares in interviews and podcasts. Anyone and everyone who has social media knows who he is. Just a few of these opinions that he openly shares include that a woman is a man’s property and should serve him, women shouldn’t be able to drive and everyone should have access to corrupted activity.

The interviews and podcasts where these subjects are discussed are open to the public and are posted on several platforms such as Youtube and Tiktok where they can be easily accessed by young people. According to Forbes.com, before Andrew’s dismissal from social media platforms, he had acquired 4.7 million followers on Instagram. Since he has a large following, many teens look up to him and see him as a valid celebrity, which also causes them to think that what he says must be reasonable because of his fame.

Women are absolutely happy serving a man they respect…they’re far more happy with that then they are working some career and some garbage…shut up, have kids, sit at home, be quiet, make coffee,” claimed Tate during a podcast that was spread throughout the internet. Not only did this cause several disputes, but hundreds of people started to call him out for his extremely sexist statement that he freely said without hesitation because of the effect he is forcing onto youth by spreading words that promote gender inequality.

Tate stated on an episode of Fellas Podcast that “girls shouldn’t drive…I believe that females panic quicker than men.”  According to an article published by the University of South Carolina, studies show that when put under stress, women are more careful and men charge ahead. Therefore, women aren’t necessarily more prone to panicking, they’re just scientifically more careful. Although this is his belief, he has offended countless women and continues to with every word that he says. Unfortunately Tate’s following (prior to getting banned) was heavily young-male dominated, therefore this is once again an example of the bad influence he is to youth.

I like living in countries where corruption is accessible for everyone…I find it offensive that a police officer in England will stop me for speeding and refuse to take a bribe… he will sit there and go “no this is the law, law and order,'” Tate shared on Fellas Podcast. This statement in general is promoting illegal activities. He is openly encouraging people to commit felonies. Once again, how will youth that look up to him take this? It will only cause them trouble.

Although Tate was banned on Aug.19, 2022, from most social media platforms, all his content has been uploaded on Youtube and Tiktok, and can still be viewed by anyone at any time. Not to mention he was even paid extensive amounts when he would post or be a guest on podcasts.

Tate has also caused confusion among many due to the fact that he has claimed he has nothing against women several times but then goes on to say all these sexist statements that completely degrade women.

Tate’s actions and words show that he is not one to be looked up to – they show exactly the opposite.
