With social media, the tour is blowing up and it is almost impossible for an individual not to know about this event. Videos and pictures glamorize Swift as the most talented artist and performer to ever exist. They display the extravagant show and viewers see the captivating lights and set designs, enticing people everywhere to buy tickets so they don’t miss the experience. After attending the tour myself, I can confirm that the Eras Tour is definitely worth all the publicity it receives.
I attended the show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on July 18, 2023. The city was temporarily named Swiftsburgh for the two nights that she was in town. Cities all over the globe are legally changing their names for the superstar, which shows the amazing sensation that she is creating around the world. Driving through the city that afternoon, cars were decorated with ribbons, glitter and paint, and the city was covered in girls dressed in glittery pink and purple outfits, cowgirl boots and boas. Every corner of Pittsburgh was affected by this concert, creating an unimaginable feeling of excitement in the air. Critics say that no other artist in the world has ever been able to create an environment like this. Swift has created a fanbase that is unlike any other. Crowds of tens of thousands of people formed a safe and friendly environment for everyone there. This type of environment in a crowd of so many people is very rare and has never been created by another artist. Every fan was elated to be there and that excitement spread to every individual who attended. Women and men of all ages and all backgrounds come to support Swift, and it has been reported that everyone who attends feels welcomed by fellow Swifties.
The three-hour show begins with a ticking clock, counting down the minutes until the star arrives on stage. The curtains close on her, and suddenly, she appears on stage in her infamous sparkling bodysuit.
People all over the world have reported that seeing Swift in person feels surreal, and after attending the show for myself, I can attest that this is true.
